In Neverness to Everness (NTE), Fons is the primary in-game currency used for everything from upgrading characters to buying apartment furniture. However, the game features two major “Fons sinks” that can drain your wallet in minutes if you aren’t careful: the Nacupeda Pool and Inspiration Time scratch cards.
Recently, players on Reddit have reported losing over 1.3 million Fons in just 5 minutes to these mechanics. So, what are they, and are they worth your hard-earned currency? Here is our complete guide.
The Nacupeda Pool
The Nacupeda Pool is a wishing fountain located in Nacupeda Park. By selecting “Make a Sincere Wish”, you can spend Fons to obtain Mhm! Coins and other rewards.
How It Works
- Each wish costs a set amount of Fons.
- You receive random rewards, including Beetle Coins, materials, and Mhm! Coins.
- Mhm! Coins are a special currency used exclusively at the nearby Nacupeda Exchange Shop.
The Exchange Shop
By collecting 100 Mhm! Coins, you can purchase a random S-Class Arc (equipment). This makes the Nacupeda Pool a viable, albeit expensive, way to farm high-tier gear if you have terrible luck with normal drops.
Is It Worth It?
Only for late-game players. If you are still leveling characters, upgrading weapons, or buying essential apartment furniture, stay away from the pool. Only throw Fons into the fountain when you have millions to spare and desperately need S-Class Arcs.
Inspiration Time (Scratch Cards)
Inspiration Time is a scratch-off lottery ticket system found at various convenience stores and kiosks around Hethereau.
How It Works
- You purchase tickets using Fons (e.g., 50,000 Fons per ticket for high-tier cards).
- You scratch off the covering film.
- If the “Nacupeda Icon” appears, you win the prize shown beneath that symbol.
- Prizes include Affection Items (like “Beyond the Book”) and Inspiration Time Tickets.
The Trap
The UI for Inspiration Time makes it incredibly easy to quickly buy and scratch multiple tickets in a row. Because the animations are fast and satisfying, players often lose track of how many Fons they are spending. This is how players accidentally drain 1.3 million Fons in 5 minutes.
Is It Worth It?
Generally, no. Inspiration Time is essentially a pure gamble. While you can win high-tier Bond/Affection items, the return on investment (ROI) is heavily skewed against the player.
If your goal is to level up character Bonds, it is much more efficient to follow a daily routine of buying standard favorite gifts and farming Fluffy Clouds, as detailed in our NTE Bond System Guide.
How to Recover Lost Fons
If you accidentally gambled away your life savings at the Nacupeda Pool, don’t panic. Here are the fastest ways to recover Fons:
- Daily Missions: 20,000 Fons per day.
- Cafe by Origen: At Level 40, this yields substantial passive income.
- Redeem Codes: Check our Active Redeem Codes List for codes like
NTEFUNGAMEandNTEWINFONSthat grant 40,000 Fons each. - Nacupeda Event Cap: During special events, Fons rewards from stamina-consuming activities are doubled until you reach a cap of 700,000 bonus Fons. Take advantage of this!
