Building an effective team in Neverness to Everness requires understanding the Esper Cycle — the elemental reaction system that rewards strategic character swapping. The strongest teams are built around triggering high-damage reactions like Charged (Cosmos + Lakshana + Anima) or Blossom (Anima follow-up attacks) consistently.
A standard NTE team consists of 4 characters: one primary DPS, one sub-DPS or buffer, one support/buffer, and one survival unit. The most accessible meta team is Chiz (DPS) + Esper Zero (Sub-DPS) + Sakiri (Support) + Haniel (Survival), which leverages Charged reactions for massive damage output.
Reaction Priority
When building teams, prioritize reactions that complement your main DPS character's element. Cosmos DPS characters like Chiz and Hotori benefit most from the Charged reaction. Anima DPS characters like Nanally excel with Blossom teams. See our Team Building Guide for detailed compositions.
