The 999 Nights game mode introduced in NTE Version 1.2 brings 20 new achievements spread across three categories: Bob in the Box (8), Single Frame (5), and Gravity Type (7). Completing all of them rewards a significant amount of Annulith, making this one of the most valuable free-to-play activities in the current patch.

This guide covers every unlock condition, the most efficient order to tackle them, and known bugs to watch out for — particularly in the Bastille challenge.

Access Requirements

Before you can start hunting achievements in 999 Nights, you need to meet the following prerequisites:

RequirementDetails
Version 1.2 updateMust have the 999 Nights patch installed
Dreamwalk CorridorComplete this story chapter first
Hunter Level 26Required to enter the 1.2 main episode
Fighting with a DragonStart this episode to unlock Warren Continent
Fuzzy Village portalUse the back portal to enter the board area

The episode begins from Eibon, then takes you through Nanally, Mint’s apartment, Iroi, and Shinku before the board-world content opens. Your main hub is Fuzzy Village, with a portal at the back leading into Warren Continent and areas like Chocolate Volcano, Milk Ice Mountain, Amber Sugar Lake, and Crimson Castle.

Tip: On PC, press F1 inside 999 Nights to check the task menu between clears. Achievement rewards can sit under multiple tabs — Exploration, Battle, Quests, Interest, Bond, Develop, Gameplay, and City — so check all of them after each major activity.

Category 1: Bob in the Box (8 Achievements)

These achievements are tied to story progression and side quests within the 999 Nights mode. They are the most straightforward and will unlock naturally as you play through the content.

AchievementUnlock Method
Bob in the Box Normal ClearClear Bob in the Box on normal difficulty
Adventure AwaitsComplete the Bob in the Box objective with this title
Side Quest Clear 1–6Complete each of the 6 Bob in the Box side quests

Strategy: Do not rush to farm isolated achievements early. The Bob in the Box clears overlap naturally with early 1.2 progression — you will collect chests, equipment, and dice-roll chances while moving through the same content. Complete these before moving to cleanup objectives.

Category 2: Single Frame (5 Achievements)

These five achievements require specific actions tied to the 999 Nights mechanics.

I’ll Be Back

Sit at a bonfire in the 1.2 route, trigger the reset, and repeat until you have completed 10 total resets. The achievement pops after the tenth reset.

It’s 100

You need a dice roll to land exactly on 100. This can come from:

  • Opening precious chests in Warren Continent
  • Identifying weapons or equipment
  • Using the Lucky Guy gambling loop near the arena

Tip: Save Lucky Guy for cleanup — the same gambling loop gives repeat dice rolls for It’s 100 while you work toward the 33-loss objective.

Crimson Castle Mold Damage

Open fake golden chests in Crimson Castle and take 33 mold-damage hits. Three fake chests near the boss area are usually enough. If one chest was already used, teleport to the farming spot and open the golden chest behind the mobs near the bridge.

Chocolate Volcano Burn Damage

Teleport to the middle area of Chocolate Volcano, jump into the lava pool, and take 33 burn-damage hits. Stay in the lava until the achievement triggers.

Lucky Guy Loss Objective

Lose the Lucky Guy gamble 33 times by rolling below 50. This pairs well with It’s 100 since every gamble attempt also counts as a dice roll.

Category 3: Gravity Type (7 Objectives)

These are the most varied achievements, covering combat, exploration, and challenge clears.

AchievementUnlock Method
Watch Your StepKill 3 enemies while both you and the enemies are touching lava (Chocolate Volcano)
Now I Chose YouHire an ally NPC, keep them in your party, and land hits in a boss fight
Weapon IdentificationIdentify weapons/equipment until the dice-roll requirement is met
Chest MasterOpen 100 chests across the 1.2 route
Difficulty ClearClear the full 999 Nights difficulty sweep (Normal → Challenge → Nightmare)
Challenge PrerequisiteClear required challenges before Bastille
Bastille Timed WavesTurn in Fuzzy Rolling Things and clear enemy waves in time

Watch Your Step — Lava Kill Tip

Do this in the same Chocolate Volcano lava trip as the burn-damage achievement. The kill only counts when both you and the enemy are touching lava simultaneously. Pull enemies toward the lava and wait for them to step in before attacking. If enemies die too early, teleport out and back in to reset the pack.

Now I Chose You — Hired Ally

Hire any available ally NPC near the boss route, start the nearby boss fight with the ally active, and land a few hits. A full boss kill may not be required — just having the ally present and dealing damage is enough.

Chest Master

This requires 100 chests total. It will progress naturally while you clear story, side quests, Crimson Castle fake chests, and normal exploration. Do not leave it for the end, since chest hunting also provides more dice-roll chances for It’s 100.

Bastille Challenge — Known Bugs & Tips

Bastille is the most problematic achievement in the set. Be aware of the following issues before attempting:

  • Enemy waves may fail to appear
  • Movement can lock mid-challenge
  • Random kickouts can occur
  • Failed attempts can consume your Fuzzy Rolling Things (low drop rate from bosses)

Bastille Prerequisite Challenges

You must clear all of the following before Bastille becomes accessible:

ChallengeNotes
Fuzzy ClubClear before attempting Bastille
Bubble DefenseClear before attempting Bastille
Double Jumping KingClear before attempting Bastille
WipeoutClear before attempting Bastille
Zombie KingClear before attempting Bastille
Fuzzy GambitIf Red Haze does not spawn, enter the domain, leave the game, and re-enter
Dragon ShinkuUse Fuzzy Curse on a character you do not rely on (e.g., Mint as a buffer)

Dragon Shinku tip: Put Fuzzy Curse on an unused character rather than your main damage setup. If you use Mint only as a buffer, she is a good candidate for carrying the curse while the fight plays out.

Bastille Attempt Strategy

Farm extra Fuzzy Rolling Things from boss drops before entering. Clear each enemy wave within the time limit. If waves do not spawn correctly, exit and re-enter the instance rather than wasting your items on a broken run.

For the most efficient run through all 20 achievements, follow this order:

  1. Complete Bob in the Box story and side quests (8 achievements)
  2. Collect chests naturally during story progression (progress toward Chest Master)
  3. Clear normal, challenge, and nightmare difficulties
  4. Complete the prerequisite challenges for Bastille
  5. Do Chocolate Volcano lava objectives (burn damage + Watch Your Step) in one trip
  6. Farm Crimson Castle fake chests for mold damage
  7. Use Lucky Guy gambling loop for 33 losses + dice roll toward It’s 100
  8. Hire an ally and complete Now I Chose You
  9. Attempt Bastille with spare Fuzzy Rolling Things
  10. Clean up any remaining identification or chest objectives

This order minimizes backtracking and lets natural progression handle most of the requirements before you need to farm anything specifically.

Rewards Summary

All 20 achievements reward Annulith upon completion, making this one of the best free-to-play Annulith sources in Version 1.2. The exact amounts vary by achievement tier, but completing the full set provides enough for approximately 10–15 additional pulls depending on your current pity.
