S+

Mono Blossom

Difficulty: Medium
Blossom

The strongest team in the game. Spams Blossom through Zero's instant Esper Meter refill and Hotori's time-stop Ultimate. Nanally's Underboss fires 10 attacks per Blossom spawn, while Jiuyuan increases Bud cap to 6.

Rotation

Zero Skill → Swap Nanally (Blossom) → Jiuyuan Skill (group) → Zero Skill → Swap Hotori Ult (time stop + replicate skills) → Repeat

Strengths

  • + Highest DPS ceiling
  • + Time stop ignores stage timer
  • + Strong AoE and single-target

Weaknesses

  • - Requires Hotori (limited)
  • - No dedicated tank/healer
S+

Scorch & Break

Difficulty: Hard
Scorch Nova Discord

A quick-swap burst team combining three reactions simultaneously. Discord (Scorch + Nova active) continuously drains the enemy break bar. Baicang provides massive Incantation burst while Daffodill enables all reactions.

Rotation

Daffodill Skill → Haniel Skill → Sakiri Hold Skill (group) → Baicang Power Words → Daffodill Swap → Baicang Ultimate (execute)

Strengths

  • + Triple reaction synergy
  • + Fastest break in game
  • + Adapts to AoE/ST

Weaknesses

  • - High execution requirement
  • - No sustain without Fadia swap

Tip: Replace Haniel with Fadia for survivability

S

Hyper Nanally

Difficulty: Medium
Blossom Hexed

The best Nanally team without Hotori. Sakiri provides ATK buff and Hexed reaction (replicates portion of Nanally's DPS). Double grouping from Jiuyuan and Sakiri keeps enemies stacked for maximum Underboss value.

Rotation

Zero Skill → Swap Nanally (Blossom) → Jiuyuan Skill (group) → Sakiri Hold Skill → Zero Skill → Repeat

Strengths

  • + Best crowd control
  • + Hexed amplifies Nanally further
  • + No limited characters required

Weaknesses

  • - Lower ceiling than Mono Blossom
  • - Needs Nanally investment

Tip: Adler, Haniel, or Skia can replace Sakiri

S

Hyper Chiz (Charge)

Difficulty: Medium
Blossom Remora Charged

The ideal Charged reaction team. Remora (Cosmos + Lakshana) combined with Blossom (Anima + Cosmos) triggers Charged, granting 4 energy per hit via Chiz's passive. Generates Ultimate energy extremely fast for repeated burst windows.

Rotation

Hathor Skill → Jiuyuan Skill → Zero/Hotori Skill → Chiz Ultimate → Grain Market combo → Repeat

Strengths

  • + Fastest Ultimate cycling
  • + Chiz is free (all dupes)
  • + Strong burst windows

Weaknesses

  • - Requires Hotori for max potential
  • - Hathor state ends on swap

Tip: Zero replaces Hotori for F2P version

S

Discord Nanally

F2P
Difficulty: Easy
Scorch Nova Discord Hexed

Runs four reactions simultaneously with minimal effort. Adler + Daffodill = Scorch, Daffodill + Fadia = Nova, both active = Discord. Nanally's Underboss fires constantly off-field while all reactions tick. Fadia provides excellent survivability.

Rotation

Adler Skill → Daffodill Skill → Fadia Skill → Nanally on-field → Repeat as needed

Strengths

  • + 4 reactions at once
  • + Very durable (Fadia)
  • + Low execution
  • + Mostly standard/free characters

Weaknesses

  • - Lower burst ceiling
  • - Needs Nanally
A

F2P Charge Team

F2P
Difficulty: Medium
Remora Blossom Charged

The best fully F2P team for endgame. Chiz (free with all dupes) and Hathor (standard) provide excellent DPS. Jiuyuan groups enemies and heals, while Haniel buffs ATK. Charged reaction generates energy for frequent Ultimates.

Rotation

Haniel Skill → Jiuyuan Skill (group) → Hathor combo → Chiz Ultimate → Grain Market → Repeat

Strengths

  • + Fully F2P accessible
  • + Strong single-target
  • + Good energy generation

Weaknesses

  • - Weaker AoE
  • - No dedicated tank

Tip: Adler replaces Haniel for more survivability

A

Beginner Stain Team

F2P
Difficulty: Easy
Stain Remora

The easiest team to play with no tight timing requirements. Stain reaction (+50% Psyche/Lakshana DMG for 12s) is built into the natural rotation. Zero provides instant Esper Cycle procs. Sakiri groups and buffs.

Rotation

Zero Skill → Sakiri Hold Skill → Haniel Skill → Skia on-field DPS → Repeat

Strengths

  • + Extremely easy to play
  • + No limited characters
  • + Stain auto-activates

Weaknesses

  • - Lower damage ceiling
  • - Skia falls off in late endgame

Tip: Fadia replaces Haniel/Sakiri for survivability

A

Hathor Hypercarry

F2P
Difficulty: Medium
Remora Stain

Hathor as the sole carry with maximum support. Remora from Zero + Hathor triggers consistently. Stain from Fadia/Haniel + Hathor grants +50% Lakshana DMG. Fadia provides survivability while Haniel buffs ATK.

Rotation

Haniel Skill → Fadia Skill → Zero Skill → Hathor Emergency Delivery → Stay on Hathor until state ends

Strengths

  • + Simple rotation
  • + Very tanky
  • + Hathor is standard banner

Weaknesses

  • - Single-target focused
  • - Hathor state ends on swap
S

Lacrimosa Scorch

Difficulty: Medium
Scorch Nova

V1.1 team built around Lacrimosa's Chaos application. Scorch (Incantation + Chaos) triggers consistently from Baicang and Sakiri's Incantation application combined with Lacrimosa's Chaos field. Nova (Chaos + Psyche) adds burst from Fadia's Psyche application. Strong sustained damage with excellent survivability.

Rotation

Sakiri Hold Skill → Fadia Skill → Baicang Skill → Lacrimosa on-field DPS → Repeat when buffs expire

Strengths

  • + Strong sustained + burst
  • + Excellent survivability
  • + Scorch DoT stacks with Lacrimosa's personal damage

Weaknesses

  • - Requires Lacrimosa (limited V1.1)
  • - Lower AoE than Blossom teams

Tip: Haniel replaces Fadia for more offensive buffs if survivability is not needed

S

Chaos Warrant Team

Difficulty: Medium
Remora Stain

V1.1 Phase 2 team leveraging Chaos's Warrant debuff for team-wide damage amplification. Warrant marks enemies for 15-20% increased damage from all sources. Hathor provides secondary Lakshana DPS and shields. Remora (Cosmos + Lakshana) triggers consistently from Zero + Chaos/Hathor. Stain (Psyche + Lakshana) from Haniel further boosts Lakshana damage.

Rotation

Zero Skill → Chaos Skill (apply Warrant) → Haniel Skill → Hathor combo → Chaos Ultimate (Crime Surge) → Repeat

Strengths

  • + 15-20% team damage amp from Warrant
  • + Double Lakshana carry
  • + Fog Hound utility in open world

Weaknesses

  • - Requires Chaos (limited V1.1 Phase 2)
  • - Two Lakshana carries compete for field time

Tip: Sakiri replaces Haniel for ATK buff + grouping if survivability is not an issue

Esper Cycle Reactions Reference

Teams in NTE are built around the Esper Cycle reaction system. Understanding which elements combine to trigger reactions is essential for team building.

Blossom

Anima + Cosmos

Spawns Vita Buds that attack enemies. More Buds = more damage.

Remora

Cosmos + Lakshana

Marks enemy, triggers burst damage on character swap.

Stain

Psyche + Lakshana

Enemies take +50% Psyche and Lakshana DMG for 12s.

Scorch

Incantation + Chaos

Applies DoT that ticks for 15 seconds.

Nova

Chaos + Psyche

Marks enemy for delayed burst hit after 5 seconds.

Discord

Scorch + Nova (both active)

Continuously drains enemy break bar while both DoTs are active.

Hexed

Incantation + Anima

Replicates a portion of the active character's damage.

Charged

Remora + Blossom (both active)

Grants additional Ultimate Energy on each hit for faster burst cycling.

Team Building Principles

Elemental Lane Priority

Always maintain a clean elemental lane — two or more characters whose elements chain into reactions. A weaker character that preserves your reaction flow beats a stronger character that breaks the chain.

Beyond the Rail Requirements

Endgame requires two full teams (8 characters, no overlap). Build at least 8 characters across different elements. Some stages have elemental resistance — flexibility is key.

Flex Picks

Adler (shields + Incantation DoT), Edgar (healing), and Fadia (damage redirect) fit into almost any team without breaking elemental lanes. Use them to solve survivability issues.

Ultimate Timing

Save Ultimates for stagger windows regardless of team. Staggered enemies take significantly more damage, and Ultimates provide i-frames during animation.

About Team Compositions in NTE

Team building in Neverness to Everness revolves around the Esper Cycle reaction system. Unlike games where raw stats determine team strength, NTE rewards players who understand elemental synergies and reaction chains. The current meta is defined by two dominant archetypes: Blossom teams (Anima + Cosmos) that spam Vita Buds for sustained damage, and Discord teams (Incantation + Chaos + Psyche) that combine Scorch and Nova for continuous break bar pressure.

For endgame content (Beyond the Rail), players need two complete teams of four characters each with no overlapping members. This means building at least 8 characters across multiple elements. The top-tier combination pairs a Mono Blossom team (Nanally/Jiuyuan/Zero/Hotori) with a Scorch & Break team (Baicang/Sakiri/Daffodill/Haniel), covering all content types with maximum efficiency.

F2P players can achieve competitive performance with the Charge team (Chiz/Hathor/Jiuyuan/Haniel) and Discord Nanally team (Nanally/Daffodill/Fadia/Adler). Both teams use standard banner or free characters while maintaining strong reaction synergies and respectable damage ceilings.
