How to Play
Playing as a Hider
Each Hider receives a random set of three objects they can disguise as. You also receive a decoy of your object to place in the environment and mislead Hunters.
Hider tips:
- Choose your disguise object based on the environment — blend into areas where that object naturally appears
- Place your decoy in a visible but suspicious location to draw Hunter attention away from you
- Stay still when Hunters are nearby; movement is the easiest way to get spotted
- If multiple Hiders are using the same object type, coordinate positions to create confusion
Playing as a Hunter
Hunters have a detection skill that helps identify Hiders among the environment objects. Hunters must attack the correct objects to eliminate Hiders.
Important rule: If a Hunter attacks a non-Hider object (a real prop, not a disguised player), the Hunter takes damage. This punishes reckless attacking and rewards careful observation.
Hunter tips:
- Use your detection skill before attacking — don’t swing at every object you see
- Look for subtle tells: slight movement, objects in unusual positions, or objects that don’t match the environment
- Hunters can be eliminated; coordinate with other Hunters to cover different areas
- Focus on areas where Hiders have fewer natural hiding spots

Tips for Earning Paper Cup Phone Fast
Participating in each match earns Paper Cup Phone regardless of which side you are assigned to. Winning as a Hider (surviving the full round) or as a Hunter (eliminating all Hiders) awards bonus currency. Consistent daily play across the 33-day event period is sufficient to clear the Shadebound Shop without needing to win every match.
