Haniel

Overview

Haniel is a free character obtainable through pre-registration milestones (30 million pre-registrations). She dreams of becoming “a beautiful high school girl who saves the world” and fights with magic projectiles and her portable speaker Hootie. As a buffer, she provides consistent ATK bonuses to the entire team that persist even when she is off-field.

Haniel is widely considered the best F2P support in NTE due to her free acquisition, strong team-wide ATK buff, and low field time requirements.

Key Mechanics

Hootie (Portable Speaker)

Hootie is Haniel’s core contribution. Deploy it at the start of every rotation, then switch to your main DPS. The ATK buff persists for the entire team regardless of who is on field.

Paranormal Ace State (Ultimate)

Ace state is Haniel’s burst support window. Activate it when the team is ready for their damage window — the combined ATK buff + CRIT Chance + post-Ensemble damage creates a massive amplification period.

Plot Armor (Passive)

Plot Armor primarily enhances Haniel’s personal damage through increased ricochets. It builds passively through team play and requires no active management.

Speedy Hedgehog (4-piece) provides utility bonuses that complement Haniel’s support role and reduce rotation downtime.

Stat Priority

ATK% is the top priority because Hootie’s team buff scales with Haniel’s Base ATK. Higher ATK = stronger buff for the entire team. A3 provides +20% CRIT Chance in Ace state, so build CRIT Rate to complement (aim for ~50% outside Ace state → 70% during).

Skill Priority

Skill > Ultimate > Support Skill > Basic Attack

Skill receives the highest priority because Hootie is Haniel’s primary team contribution. Higher Skill level = stronger ATK buff for everyone.

Awakening Priority

A2 and A6 together create near-permanent Hootie uptime, which is the foundation of Haniel’s team value.

Resonance

R2 adds another layer of team amplification during burst windows, stacking with all other buffs.

Best Teams

Premium Blossom Team

Dual buffers (Sakiri + Haniel) provide massive ATK stacking for Nanally. Haniel also triggers Nova (Psyche→Cosmos) when switching with Zero.

Budget Carry Team

Haniel provides the ATK buff that budget teams lack from premium characters. Hootie stays on field during Chiz’s entire damage window.

Burst Window Team

Activate Haniel’s Ace state before Hotori’s Time Stop for maximum burst amplification. The combined ATK buff + CRIT Chance makes Hotori’s burst window devastating.

Gameplay Tips

Haniel’s rotation is simple and efficient: deploy Hootie (Skill) at the start of every rotation, then immediately switch to your main DPS. The ATK buff persists off-field for the full duration. When Ultimate is ready, switch back to Haniel, activate Paranormal Ace, then switch to your DPS for the amplified burst window.

Ensemble triggers automatically from team attacks hitting enemies near Hootie — no manual input needed from Haniel. This means the buff system is entirely passive once deployed.

Haniel requires minimal field time (Skill → switch), making her one of the most rotation-efficient supports. She pairs well with any team that wants consistent ATK buffing without sacrificing DPS field time.

For Nova trigger purposes, switching between Haniel (Psyche) and any Cosmos character triggers the Nova reaction. This makes her valuable even beyond her buff utility in reaction-focused teams.
