Aurelia Overview

Aurelia is an A-Rank Psyche character who fights alongside jellyfish companions in a completely unique combat style. She is the only character in Neverness to Everness who cannot climb — instead relying on her jellyfish for transportation through the Staccato hover mechanic. Her kit revolves around the Cadenza state, which transforms her combat style for 12 seconds, and her Ultimate Canon Chorus that gathers all nearby jellyfish for a devastating multi-hit AoE burst.

At A6, Aurelia’s damage output rivals many S-Rank characters, making her one of the strongest A-Rank investments in the game. Her long field-time requirement and sustained DPS playstyle make her a true main carry rather than a quick-swap character.

Best Arcs for Aurelia

Stellar Veil (Best in Slot)

StatValue
Main StatPsyche DMG%
PassiveUnconditional Psyche DMG boost, stacking CRIT DMG buff on hits

Stellar Veil provides everything Aurelia wants: a permanent Psyche DMG increase and a stacking CRIT DMG buff that she maintains effortlessly through her rapid-hit jellyfish attacks. The unconditional nature of the buff means it works in all content without any rotation requirements.

Fluff of Fortitude (Alternative)

StatValue
Main StatATK 27.5%
PassiveDMG +22%, increased to 28% against enemies below 50% HP

A strong generalist option that excels in longer fights. Since Aurelia is a sustained DPS who keeps enemies under pressure, targets frequently drop below 50% HP during her Cadenza windows, activating the enhanced bonus.

Oraora! M5 (F2P Option)

StatValue
Main StatATK 37.5%
PassiveBasic Attack DMG +2% per hit, up to 10 stacks (10s each)

Available from the standard banner, Oraora! aligns perfectly with Aurelia’s rapid-hit playstyle. Her jellyfish blasts and Cadenza attacks quickly reach maximum stacks, providing a competitive damage boost for F2P players.

Console Setup

  • 2-piece (Epic): Psyche DMG +10%
  • 4-piece (Legendary): Offensive bonuses that complement sustained DPS playstyle

Devil’s Blood: Curse provides straightforward offensive scaling that matches Aurelia’s extended field-time approach. The Psyche DMG bonus amplifies all her damage sources.

Type IIIPsyche DMG%CRIT DMG > ATK% > CRIT Rate

Crescendo Passive: Aurelia gains 1% ATK per jellyfish blast hit (up to 10 stacks, 5s each). This effectively adds 10% ATK during sustained combat, so factor this into your stat calculations.

Team Compositions

Despite Aurelia’s passive buffing Nova reactions, her Charged team actually performs better due to superior character kit synergy. Hathor (Lakshana) triggers Stain with Aurelia, inflicting Vulnerability that increases damage for both. Zero (Cosmos) helps Hathor trigger Remora to slow enemies for 12 seconds while the team gains CRIT Rate against them. Jiuyuan triggers Blossom and Charged, regaining Ultimate Energy for the team.

Aurelia serves as the on-field DPS while others function as burst DPS, with Jiuyuan doubling as healer at A1.

Nova Team: Aurelia + Fadia + Daffodill + Haniel

The lesser of the two main teams because Aurelia’s long field time conflicts with Daffodill’s swap-in/swap-out style. The composition compensates by stacking Psyche characters to focus on a single Esper Cycle (Nova). Aurelia’s passive causes joint mini-AoE attacks with every Nova proc. Fadia helps the team take less damage, reducing the need to waste stamina on dodging with characters other than Aurelia.

F2P Stain Team: Aurelia + Skia + Zero + Jiuyuan

When Hathor is unavailable or deployed on another Beyond the Rails team, Skia fills the Lakshana slot. His short field time works in Aurelia’s favor, and Zero’s instant Esper Meter fill enables Skia to trigger Remora and complete the Charged requirement. A fully accessible team requiring no additional limited S-Rank characters.

Awakening Priority

1stA6Major damage increase — rivals S-Rank outputTransformative power spike
2ndA3Enhanced Cadenza state attacksCore DPS improvement
3rdA5Team-wide Psyche DMG buffBenefits entire composition
4thA1Additional jellyfish generationMore Canon Chorus hits
5thA2Cadenza duration extensionMore sustained damage window
6thA4Canon Chorus damage multiplierFinal burst improvement

A6 is critical. Aurelia at A5 and below is a solid A-Rank character. At A6, she becomes a legitimate S-Rank competitor. Prioritize reaching A6 before investing heavily in her Console.

Unique Mechanics

Aurelia has several mechanics that no other character shares:

MechanicDescription
Cannot ClimbUses jellyfish as transportation instead of climbing walls
StaccatoHold Dodge while moving to ride a jellyfish at high speed
Exclusive GliderJellyfish is her only available glider option
SyncopationCritical Riposte automatically fires four jellyfish blasts
Cadenza State12-second transformed combat mode with enhanced attacks
CrescendoPassive ATK stacking from jellyfish hits (up to 10%)

Rotation Guide

Standard Cadenza Rotation

  1. Cast Skill (Cadenza Aria) — Enter Cadenza state, deal AoE Psyche DMG
  2. Basic Attack combo — Use transformed Cadenza attacks to build jellyfish on field
  3. Build jellyfish count — Each attack spawns jellyfish that remain on the field
  4. Cast Ultimate (Canon Chorus) — Gathers all jellyfish for multi-hit burst + enemy grouping
  5. Continue Cadenza attacks — Maintain DPS until Cadenza expires (12s)
  6. Swap to supports — Trigger reactions, refresh buffs, then return to Aurelia

Tips for Maximum DPS

  • Always enter Cadenza state before using Ultimate — Canon Chorus damage scales with jellyfish count
  • Canon Chorus pulls enemies together — use it as a grouping tool before team burst windows
  • Maintain Crescendo stacks by keeping jellyfish blasts hitting targets
  • In exploration, use Staccato (hold Dodge) for faster traversal than most vehicles in tight spaces
  • At A6, Aurelia’s sustained DPS window becomes long enough to justify extended field time over quick-swap rotations

Investment Value

Aurelia is obtainable through the standard banner and A-Rank selectors, making her one of the most accessible characters to build to A6. Her unique playstyle offers a refreshing alternative to the quick-swap meta, and her damage ceiling at maximum investment competes with limited S-Rank characters. For players who enjoy sustained on-field carries, Aurelia represents exceptional value.
