The Fight Championship is a unique combat event arriving in Neverness to Everness Version 1.1. Running from June 24 to July 8, 2026, this event takes players to the Hethereau Prison for pure, weaponless, fist-to-fist brawling.
Unlike standard combat that relies on elemental reactions and weapon skills, the Fight Championship (and the permanent Fight Club activity it introduces) requires you to master a completely different move set. Here is everything you need to know to unlock the arena and dominate the tournament.
Event Overview
- Event Duration: June 24, 05:00 – July 8, 05:59 (UTC+8)
- Location: Hethereau Prison
- Rewards: Annulith, Fabricated Dice, and Fons
While the Championship is a limited-time event with exclusive rewards, the Fight Club itself is a permanent “Hethereau Hobbies” activity that will remain in the game after July 8, allowing you to spend City Stamina to farm Fons.
How to Unlock the Fight Club
Many players get stuck trying to figure out how to access the prison arena. You cannot simply walk into the Fight Club; you must unlock it through a specific storyline.
- Progress the Prison Storyline: Follow the main/side quests that lead you into the Hethereau Prison.
- Confront Tornado: You will eventually be tasked with talking to and confronting an NPC named Tornado, the leader of the Tornado Gang.
- Defeat Tornado: Engage Tornado in a fistfight. Once you defeat him, the Fight Club arena will become permanently unlocked for you to challenge at any time.
Note: If you speak to Tornado before reaching the correct point in the questline, you may receive a blank screen or be sent to solitary/the infirmary. Make sure your quest log explicitly tells you to confront him.
Gameplay Mechanics: Pure Fist-to-Fist Combat
The Fight Club disables all your standard weapons, Arcs, and Esper abilities. You are forced to play as the main character (Zero) using a unique brawler move set.
1. No Weapons Allowed
You cannot rely on Lacrimosa’s scythe or Hathor’s bike here. It is strictly hand-to-hand combat.
2. The Parry System
Dodging is helpful, but parrying is the key to winning. If you time your deflections perfectly just as an enemy attack is about to land, you will perform a parry.
- Parrying heavily damages the enemy’s Posture Meter.
- Once the Posture Meter is broken, the enemy is stunned, allowing you to unleash a devastating combo and take over the match.
3. Solo and Multiplayer (Co-Op)
The Fight Championship offers two ways to play:
- Solo Mode: Fight 1-on-1 against NPC challengers.
- Matchmaking (Co-Op): Team up with up to 3 other players (4 players total) in a multiplayer brawl.
Farming Fons After the Event
Once the limited-time Fight Championship event ends on July 8, the Fight Club doesn’t disappear. It transitions into a standard City Activity.
You can return to the prison arena at any time and spend your City Stamina to participate in fights. Winning these fights will convert your stamina directly into Fons, making it an excellent alternative to racing or fishing when you need cash to buy properties or upgrade vehicles.
