Account Progression Overview
Neverness to Everness tracks player progression through multiple interconnected systems. Hunter Level serves as the primary account level that gates access to content and systems. City Tycoon Level governs economic output and passive resource generation. Appraisal Level determines the quality of rewards from combat domains. Each system feeds into the others, creating a progression loop where advancing one system accelerates progress in the remaining two.
The fastest route to endgame requires understanding which milestones provide the largest acceleration bonuses and prioritizing them over incremental improvements. This guide identifies every major breakpoint and provides the optimal order for reaching them.
Hunter Level: The Primary Gate
Hunter Level increases through Hunter EXP, earned from nearly every activity in the game: daily tasks, exploration, story quests, commissions, and events. Higher Hunter Levels unlock new game modes, increase Character Pixel capacity, and gate access to higher-difficulty content with better rewards.
Key Hunter Level Milestones
| Level | Unlock | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | Anomaly Commissions | Primary repeatable combat content |
| 15 | Weekly Bosses | Passive/support skill upgrade materials |
| 20 | Beyond the Rails | Monthly endgame challenge mode |
| 25 | Higher Appraisal tiers | Better domain reward quality |
| 30 | Advanced Anomaly difficulty | Legendary Console drops |
| 35 | Extreme difficulty content | Highest reward tier |
| 40 | All systems unlocked | Full endgame access |
| 45 | Pre-1.1 milestone | Preparation for version update content |
The most impactful unlock is Hunter Level 30, which enables Legendary (Orange) rarity Console drops from Anomaly Commissions. Before this point, farming Consoles is inefficient because Epic (Purple) rarity sets are temporary investments that get replaced. Reaching Level 30 as quickly as possible should be the primary early-game goal.
Fastest Hunter EXP Sources
Story quests provide the largest single injections of Hunter EXP. Complete the main story as far as possible before focusing on side content. After story quests are exhausted, the following sources provide the best EXP-to-time ratio:
Daily 100 Points completion provides a guaranteed floor of Hunter EXP every day. This should never be skipped regardless of how busy your play session is. The Exploration Guide rewards Hunter EXP at each milestone level, incentivizing thorough world exploration. Anomaly Commissions (once unlocked) provide both Hunter EXP and combat materials simultaneously, making them the most efficient repeatable activity.
City Tycoon: The Economic Engine
The City Tycoon system generates Fons — the basic currency used for upgrades, crafting, and progression purchases. Unlike Hunter Level (which gates content), City Tycoon Level determines how efficiently your account generates passive resources.
The Level 16 Breakpoint
City Tycoon Level 16 is the single most important economic milestone in the game. At this level, city stamina costs and rewards are doubled. Activities that previously generated 500 Fons per stamina point now generate 1,000 Fons per point. This effectively halves the real-world time required to complete weekly stamina dumps through activities like Hethereau Hobbies.
Reaching Level 16 should be treated as a secondary priority behind Hunter Level 30. The doubled efficiency compounds over time — every week spent below Level 16 represents lost Fon generation that cannot be recovered.
Fon Generation Priority
Fons fuel City Tycoon leveling in a self-reinforcing loop: spend Fons to upgrade Tycoon → higher Tycoon generates more Fons → repeat. The key sources for accelerating this loop are:
Safe Cracking provides large one-time Fon injections found throughout the open world. These are exploration-gated and reward thorough world coverage. The Pink Paw Heist resets every two weeks and provides up to 1,000,000 Fons per cycle — the single largest recurring Fon source in the game. The Realm of Greed weekly boss (unlocked through Blind Mammon furniture) provides consistent weekly Fon income. The Auction House in New Herland District sells unique progression assets that cannot be obtained elsewhere.
Unlocking the Realm of Greed
The Realm of Greed requires specific furniture items installed in your apartment. Purchase the “Gluttonous Eye” and “Covetous Coins” from the Auction House, install them in your first apartment, then speak with the NPC Hikatai to finalize the unlock. This grants access to a weekly boss that provides substantial recurring Fon income. Prioritize purchasing these items from the Auction House as soon as they appear.
Stamina Management: Two Systems
NTE uses two separate stamina systems that regenerate independently and serve different purposes. Misallocating either system slows progression significantly.
Character Pixels (Combat Stamina)
Character Pixels regenerate at 1 per 6 minutes (10 per hour, 240 per day). They are spent on combat-related resource domains: Character EXP materials, Ability upgrade materials, Ascension resources, and Console farming. Letting Character Pixels cap wastes regeneration — spend them daily even if you are not actively progressing a specific character.
Allocation Priority (Pre-Level 30):
- Character EXP materials (permanent value, needed for every character)
- Ability materials (permanent value, directly increases damage)
- Ascension resources (gates level cap increases)
- Do NOT farm Consoles until Legendary rarity is available
Allocation Priority (Post-Level 30):
- Console farming (Legendary sets are endgame-permanent)
- Ability materials for main team
- Character EXP for new characters
- Ascension resources as needed
City Tycoon Stamina (Life Activities)
City Tycoon Stamina resets weekly (not daily) and is spent on all non-combat activities: Hethereau Hobbies, shop management, racing, and life skill progression. The weekly reset means unused stamina is lost at the end of each week — always spend your full weekly allocation before reset.
After reaching City Tycoon Level 16, the doubled efficiency means you can complete your weekly stamina dump in half the time. Use the saved time for exploration, story progression, or combat content.
Exploration Guide: Free Power
The Exploration Guide tracks world exploration completion and provides milestone rewards at each level. These rewards include Character EXP, Fons, Annulith (premium currency), and most importantly, free equipment.
Level 8: Free Legendary Cartridge Set
Reaching Exploration Guide Level 8 grants a complete Legendary Cartridge (Console) set — Lost Radiance — designed for Cosmos DPS or sub-DPS characters. This set comes with the modules required for 4-piece activation, providing an immediate and substantial power boost to characters like Esper Zero or Chiz. This is the fastest route to a functional endgame-quality equipment set without spending any Character Pixels on Console farming.
Prioritize exploration activities that advance the Exploration Guide: collecting Oracle Stones, opening chests, discovering landmarks, and completing exploration puzzles. The free Legendary set at Level 8 is worth more than dozens of Character Pixel farming runs.
The Console Farming Rule
The most common progression mistake new players make is farming Consoles (Cartridge Sets) before Legendary rarity becomes available at Hunter Level 30. Epic (Purple) rarity Consoles are temporary investments — they will be completely replaced by Legendary sets once available. Every Character Pixel spent on Epic Console farming before Level 30 is effectively wasted.
Instead, use the free Lost Radiance set from Exploration Guide Level 8 and any random Legendary pieces from event rewards or story completion. Focus Character Pixels on permanent investments (Character EXP, Ability materials) until Level 30 unlocks efficient Legendary farming.
Appraisal Level and Reward Quality
Appraisal Level determines the quality tier of rewards from combat domains and weekly bosses. Higher Appraisal Levels guarantee higher-rarity drops and better substat rolls on Consoles. This system levels up naturally as your Hunter Level increases, but there are specific breakpoints worth noting.
Wait for Appraisal Level increases before completing weekly bosses when possible. The difference in reward quality between Appraisal Level tiers is significant — a single level increase can mean the difference between guaranteed Legendary drops and merely possible Legendary drops. If you are close to an Appraisal Level increase (within 1-2 days of reaching the next Hunter Level threshold), consider saving your weekly boss attempts until after the increase.
Strategic Mobility: The Motorcycle
The Novis ST-X 950 motorcycle from the Regalia dealership in New Herland should be your first vehicle acquisition. While it lacks the top speed of premium cars, it offers a critical advantage: off-road summoning. Cars are restricted to paved surfaces, but the motorcycle can be summoned anywhere, enabling direct cross-terrain navigation to objectives.
In a game where exploration efficiency directly translates to progression speed (through Exploration Guide levels, Oracle Stone collection, and Safe Cracking), the motorcycle’s deployment flexibility provides a measurable time advantage over walking or car-restricted travel.
The Witch’s House
Located southwest of Hankaku Street, the Witch’s House is a mandatory progression hub. Collect Oracle Stone birds throughout the world to level this system. Reaching Level 3 is the critical breakpoint — it enables bird visibility on the minimap, creating an accelerated feedback loop where finding birds becomes dramatically easier.
Beyond bird visibility, the Witch’s House provides daily buffs through Fortune Reading, hidden quests through Lost Tales, and increased maximum stamina for exploration traversal. Visit daily for consistent Hunter EXP and Fon income.
Weekly Progression Checklist
Maintaining consistent weekly activity ensures steady progression without burnout. The following activities should be completed every week in order of priority:
Complete all weekly boss attempts (after Appraisal Level increases when possible). Finish the Pink Paw Heist for maximum Fon income. Spend full City Tycoon Stamina allocation before weekly reset. Participate in Auction House bidding for Mammon upgrades and materials. Complete Special Delivery quests for stamina-free Fon income. Defeat Mammon in the Realm of Greed for recurring Fon generation.
Progression Timeline: Week by Week
