Set Analysis
Lost Radiance is the default choice for any Cosmos DPS character. The 2-piece bonus provides a flat 10% Cosmos DMG increase, which is additive with other Cosmos DMG% sources but still valuable as a baseline boost. The real power lies in the 4-piece bonus: 25% DEF Ignore for 20 seconds after casting Ultimate.
DEF Ignore is a multiplicative damage modifier that effectively increases all damage dealt to the target during the window. Unlike DMG% bonuses which suffer from diminishing returns when stacked, DEF penetration scales independently and becomes more valuable at higher enemy DEF levels. Against endgame bosses with elevated DEF stats, this 25% penetration can translate to 15-20% effective damage increase.
The 20-second duration is generous enough to cover most burst rotations entirely. For Zero, this means the DEF Ignore persists through Redirect Skill, Esper Cycle, and follow-up attacks. For Chiz, it covers the entire Grain Market state with room to spare.

Esper Zero (S-Tier)
Zero’s rotation centers on Ultimate into Redirect Skill into Esper Cycle. The DEF Ignore activates on Ultimate and persists through every subsequent damage instance in the rotation. Combined with Zero’s natural Cosmos DMG scaling, Lost Radiance provides the highest damage ceiling.
Chiz (S-Tier)
Chiz’s Grain Market state (activated by Ultimate) lasts 7 seconds, well within the 20-second DEF Ignore window. Every Grain Settlement during this period benefits from the penetration, making Lost Radiance the undisputed best set for burst Chiz builds.
Mint (A-Tier)
As a secondary Cosmos DPS, Mint benefits from both the elemental bonus and the DEF Ignore. Her straightforward rotation makes activating the 4-piece trivial.
