Mint Overview

Mint is an A-Rank Anima Liquid character in Neverness to Everness, widely recognized as the strongest free damage dealer in the game. Obtained early through story progression, Mint provides reliable on-field Anima DPS with a kit centered around her Skill (Ultimate: Super Claws) dash attacks and Critical Riposte (Caramel Crisp) follow-ups.

Beyond personal damage, Mint contributes a unique Blossom Enhancement through her Support Skill passive (Transform! Super Mint!), which expands Vita Pistils’ AoE explosion radius on hit. In teams running Nanally’s 10-Pistil enhancement, Mint’s radius expansion turns every Blossom volley into area-clearing coverage against grouped enemies. This dual role as both a capable DPS and Blossom amplifier makes her relevant even in endgame compositions alongside S-Rank characters.

Unique Mechanics: Caramel Crisp & Skill Reset

Mint’s combat loop has a distinctive interaction between her Critical Riposte and her Skill that creates a fluid, aggressive playstyle:

Caramel Crisp (Critical Riposte)

After a successful Critical Dodge (perfect timing dodge), Mint can immediately follow up with Caramel Crisp — a lunging attack that deals significant Anima damage. This move has two important properties: it deals substantial burst damage on its own, and with A1 Awakening, it resets the cooldown of her Skill (Ultimate: Super Claws) on hit with a 3-second internal cooldown.

Skill Loop

StepActionResult
1Cast Skill (Super Claws)Dash through enemies, deal Anima burst
2Dodge enemy attackTrigger Critical Dodge window
3Caramel CrispFollow-up hit + Skill cooldown reset (A1)
4Cast Skill againImmediate second dash

This loop means skilled players can use Mint’s Skill almost continuously in combat, provided they consistently land Critical Dodges. The 3-second ICD on A1 prevents infinite spam but still allows multiple resets per rotation.

Blossom Enhancement: Transform! Super Mint!

Mint’s Support Skill passive increases the AoE explosion radius of all Vita Pistils on the battlefield. This enhancement is squad-wide and passive — Mint does not need to be on-field or trigger Blossom herself. The radius increase is most impactful when combined with Nanally’s 10-Pistil enhancement, as each expanded explosion covers significantly more area.

Best Arcs for Mint

Fluff of Fleetness — Motor Candy (Best in Slot)

StatValue
Main StatCRIT DMG 44%
PassiveATK +5% per second while active character, up to 5 stacks. Resets on swap.

Fluff of Fleetness rewards Mint’s on-field playstyle with ramping ATK that reaches +25% at full stacks. The massive CRIT DMG main stat is ideal since Mint’s Console Bonus already provides substantial CRIT Rate. The ramp time (5 seconds to full stacks) aligns with her typical field time per rotation.

Clear Skies — Paper Squadron M5 (Signature Arc)

StatValue
Main StatATK 25%
PassiveAnima DMG +20% on Redirect Skill and Ultimate (35% at M5)

Mint’s signature Arc provides unconditional ATK and a substantial Anima DMG bonus to her two highest-damage abilities. At M5 refinement, the 35% Anima DMG bonus on Skill and Ultimate makes this competitive with Fluff of Fleetness without requiring ramp time. Ideal for quick-swap rotations where Mint does not stay on-field long enough to stack Fleetness.

Call of the Twisted City — Cardboard Castle (F2P Option)

StatValue
Main StatATK%
PassiveAnima DMG bonus on Skill usage

An accessible 4-star option that provides ATK scaling and Skill-focused damage bonuses. Available from standard banner pulls, making it realistic for F2P players to reach high refinement.

Console Setup

  • 2-piece (Epic): Anima DMG +10%
  • 4-piece (Legendary): CRIT DMG +8% per stack when nearby enemies take Anima DMG from the team, up to 7 stacks (10s each, persists off-field)

Fireflies and the Forest is Mint’s optimal set. The Anima DMG 2-piece is straightforward value, while the 4-piece provides up to 56% CRIT DMG at maximum stacks. Since Mint deals Anima damage constantly while on-field, maintaining 7 stacks is effortless. The off-field persistence means stacks built during Mint’s rotation carry over when she swaps out and returns.

Shadow Creed (Burst Alternative)

  • 2-piece (Epic): ATK +10%
  • 4-piece (Legendary): ATK +25% for 20s after casting a Skill

For rotations centered around Skill burst damage, Shadow Creed provides a massive ATK spike that covers Mint’s entire field time after casting Super Claws. The 20-second duration is generous enough to cover multiple Skill casts if A1 resets are active.

Module Stat Priority

SlotMain StatSubstats
Type IATK%CRIT DMG > CRIT Rate > ATK flat
Type IICRIT DMGATK% > CRIT Rate > Anima DMG%
Type IIIAnima DMG%CRIT DMG > ATK% > CRIT Rate

Console Bonus: Mint gains 7.5% CRIT Rate for every Type III Module equipped. This substantial passive CRIT Rate means you can deprioritize CRIT Rate on substats and focus on CRIT DMG and ATK% instead. With 3-4 Type III Modules, Mint reaches 22.5-30% CRIT Rate from Console Bonus alone.

Awakening Priority

OrderAwakeningEffectReason
1stA1 — Task Force OperationResets Skill cooldown when Caramel Crisp hits (3s ICD)Core gameplay loop enabler; allows near-continuous Skill usage
2ndA5 — First Instinct+25% CRIT DMG for 6s after Redirect SkillDirect damage amplification during burst window
3rdA3 — Attendance Bonus+15% ATK for 15s when any character triggers Blossom or HexedNear-permanent buff in reaction teams
4thA2 — Re-examinationSkill damage +40%Flat multiplier to primary damage source
5thA6 — Elite Member+15% DMG to targets below 40% HPExecute bonus for finishing enemies
6thA4 — Lunch Break+12% CRIT Rate vs last enemy on fieldDoes not work on bosses; situational overworld use only

A1 is the highest priority because it fundamentally changes Mint’s gameplay from “use Skill on cooldown” to “use Skill after every Critical Dodge.” A5 follows because it directly amplifies the damage of the Skill you are now casting more frequently. A3 is third because Blossom/Hexed triggers are constant in meta teams, providing a near-permanent ATK steroid.

Team Compositions

Blossom Core: Nanally + Mint + Zero + Hathor

Mint’s premier team leverages her Blossom Enhancement alongside Nanally’s 10-Pistil passive. Zero provides Cosmos for Blossom triggers and instant Esper Meter fills. Hathor adds Lakshana for the Charge triple-cycle (Cosmos + Anima + Lakshana), with her Delay Warning extending Remora to 12 seconds. Mint covers field time during Nanally’s downtime while her AoE radius enhancement amplifies every Vita Bud on the field.

Hotori Time Stop: Hotori + Mint + Nanally + Zero

Mint’s Blossom Enhancement causes Vita Pistils to cover more area during Hotori’s Time Stop (enabled by Ghost Orchid Crest). Hotori records Mint’s Skill for replay during Time Stop, effectively doubling her burst contribution. This team maximizes Blossom damage during frozen time windows.

Hexed Burst: Mint + Sakiri + Nanally + Jiuyuan

Mint and Nanally provide Anima damage while Sakiri provides Incantation for Hexed triggers. Every point of Anima and Incantation damage in the 12-second window feeds into Hexed’s follow-up burst. Jiuyuan adds Anima redundancy and healing. Mint’s fast hit count generates substantial Hexed pool contribution.

Pure F2P: Mint + Zero + Haniel + Adler

A completely free team where Mint serves as primary DPS. Zero provides Cosmos for Blossom triggers, Haniel buffs ATK and provides Psyche coverage, and Adler shields the team. Effective for all story content and early endgame without any gacha investment.

Rotation Guide

Standard On-Field DPS Rotation

  1. Skill (Super Claws) → Dash through enemies for Anima burst
  2. Basic Attack x3-4 → Build Esper Meter and deal sustained damage
  3. Critical Dodge → Time dodge against enemy attack
  4. Caramel Crisp → Follow-up hit (resets Skill cooldown with A1)
  5. Skill (Super Claws) → Immediate second dash
  6. Ultimate (when ready) → Major burst damage
  7. Continue Skill loop → Repeat until field time ends

Quick-Swap Rotation (Secondary DPS)

  1. Swap in → Trigger Blossom or Hexed reaction on entry
  2. Skill (Super Claws) → Burst damage
  3. Basic Attack x2 → Quick hits for meter generation
  4. Swap out → Return to main DPS, Blossom Enhancement remains active

Blossom Team Rotation

  1. Zero fills Esper Meter → Insta-Cycle ready
  2. Swap to Mint → Triggers Blossom (Cosmos → Anima)
  3. Skill + Basic Attacks → On-field DPS while Vita Buds fire
  4. Build Mint’s Esper Meter → Through attacks and Parries
  5. Swap to Zero → Triggers another Blossom (Anima → Cosmos)
  6. Repeat cycle → Maintain maximum Vita Bud count

Tips for Maximum Effectiveness

  • A1 is transformative — prioritize unlocking it before investing in other Awakenings
  • Practice Critical Dodge timing to maximize Caramel Crisp → Skill reset loops
  • Mint’s Console Bonus (7.5% CRIT Rate per Type III Module) means she needs less CRIT Rate from substats than other DPS characters
  • In Blossom teams, Mint’s AoE radius enhancement is passive — she amplifies Vita Pistils even when off-field
  • Fluff of Fleetness stacks reset on swap; only use this Arc if Mint stays on-field for 5+ seconds per rotation
  • Clear Skies is better for quick-swap rotations where Mint enters, uses Skill + Ultimate, and leaves
  • A4 (Lunch Break) does not activate against bosses despite them being the “last enemy” — this is a known limitation
  • Mint’s A-Rank status means cheap Awakening materials; reaching A6 is realistic for all players over time
  • In Beyond the Rails, Mint can serve as primary DPS on one half while S-Rank characters handle the other
