NTE Tier List 1.2: Best Characters Ranked

Last Updated: July 6, 2026. This tier list includes the confirmed CN server buffs for Shinku (increased Charge Enhancement radius and energy generation). Final global testing will be updated on July 8.

Tier List Overview

This tier list ranks NTE characters based on their performance in endgame content (Hunter’s Crucible, high-difficulty commissions) at E0 (no duplicates) with non-signature Arcs, unless otherwise noted. Characters are evaluated on damage output, team utility, and ease of use.

Tier Definitions:

S+	Best-in-slot for their role; defines the current meta
S	Excellent; strong in most content without requiring specific team setups
A	Good; performs well with the right team; may require specific conditions
B	Situational; works in niche teams or specific content
C	Below average; outclassed by other options in the same role

Notes on the Tier List

Limited vs. Standard: Limited characters (Shinku, Iroi, Chaos, Lacrimosa) generally outperform standard banner characters due to their unique mechanics. However, well-built standard characters remain viable for all content.

Resonance matters: Characters at higher resonance levels (E1, E2, etc.) may perform significantly better than their E0 rating suggests. This tier list assumes E0.

Arc dependency: Some characters have a large gap between their performance with a signature Arc vs. non-signature Arcs. Shinku’s signature Blushing Mirage is a significant upgrade; her non-signature performance is still S-tier but not S+.
