Daffodill

Overview

Daffodill is a former member of The Scarlet Letter who now works at the Eibon Antique Shop. She excels as a Break specialist through her Light Prism passive (+20% Break DMG contribution) and Discord Enhancement that permanently reduces enemy Break caps. Her Resonance mechanic rewards teams that frequently use Support Skills, scaling both damage and Break efficiency with each cast.

Her defining role is enabling Discord teams: by Breaking enemies faster and maintaining Insight debuffs, she amplifies the entire team’s damage during vulnerability windows.

Key Mechanics

Light Prism (Break Specialist)

Light Prism makes Daffodill one of the best Break specialists in the game. The permanent Discord Enhancement means enemies become progressively easier to Break throughout a fight.

Resonance System

Each team Support Skill cast (from any teammate) increases Resonance stacks. Coordinate with teammates to cast their Support Skills before switching to Daffodill for maximum Resonance/Echoes damage.

Insight Debuff (from Ultimate)

Insight is a team-wide damage amplifier. At A3, it becomes irremovable and stackable, making Daffodill’s Ultimate one of the strongest debuffs in the game for extended fights.

Stat Priority

Break Efficiency is prioritized to amplify Daffodill’s Break specialist role. ATK% scales all damage including Break contribution.

Skill Priority

Ultimate > Support Skill > Skill > Basic Attack

Ultimate receives the highest priority because Insight is Daffodill’s primary team contribution. Support Skill (Resonance) is second due to its scaling damage.

Awakening Priority

A3 is the critical breakpoint that makes Daffodill’s Insight irremovable and stackable. This transforms her from a Break specialist into a permanent team damage amplifier.

Resonance

R2 provides a significant Chaos RES shred that benefits all Chaos DPS teammates (Lacrimosa, Chiz in Cosmos/Chaos teams).

Premium Discord Team

Daffodill’s Break specialization enables faster Discord triggers for Lacrimosa. Insight stacks amplify all team damage during Break windows.

ETD-4 Break Team

Daffodill provides Scorch triggers (Chaos→Incantation) while Breaking enemies for Baicang’s domain burst windows.

Survival Break Team

Daffodill triggers Nova (Chaos→Psyche via Fadia) and breaks Bosses faster for difficult Beyond the Rail content.

Gameplay Tips

Daffodill’s rotation centers around building Resonance stacks through team Support Skills, then entering with her own Support Skill (Resonance/Echoes) for maximum burst. The optimal sequence is: have 2+ teammates use Support Skills → switch to Daffodill → Support Skill (Echoes) → Ultimate (Insight) → Basic Attack combo → Displaced Edge for safety.

Use Displaced Edge during combos for safe invincibility frames. The dash provides both repositioning and damage, making it a low-risk option during enemy attack patterns.

Discord Enhancement stacks permanently in combat — focus early attacks on priority targets to reduce their Break cap before the team’s main burst window. In multi-wave content, this permanent reduction carries over between phases.

Pair Daffodill with characters who have frequent Support Skill usage (Haniel, Sakiri, Edgar) to maximize Resonance stacking speed.
