Iroi’s limited banner — The Lifeline — opens on July 29, 2026 and runs until August 19, 2026. She is the Phase 2 character of Version 1.2, following Shinku’s Phase 1 banner. This guide covers her confirmed kit, team recommendations, and whether she is worth pulling.

Who Is Iroi?

Iroi is a member of the Anomaly Control Unit’s Division 2, the same faction as Shinku. She is described in-game as a field medic and tactical support specialist. Her character design centers on a medical/pastoral aesthetic, and she can interact with small animals in the open world to gather character upgrade materials — a passive exploration utility no other character currently has.

Her combat role is pure support: she does not function as a primary damage dealer. Her kit revolves around deploying sheep summons that provide sustained healing and attack buffs to the active character.

Kit Overview

Iroi’s kit has been confirmed through the official 1.2 preview stream and community datamining. The following reflects her confirmed abilities at A0.

AbilityEffect
Normal AttackStandard Lingxi-element chain attacks
SkillDeploys a sheep summon that heals the active character (scales off Iroi’s Max HP)
UltimateDeploys up to three sheep summons simultaneously; each provides both healing and an attack buff to the active character
PassiveIncreases the duration of sheep summons; summons persist through character swaps

The key mechanic is that her sheep summons remain on the field after she swaps out, meaning she provides continuous healing and buffing without needing to stay active. This makes her one of the most rotation-friendly supports in the game — you deploy her ultimate, swap to your main DPS, and the buffs continue.

Best Teams for Iroi

Iroi’s universal buff design means she fits into multiple team archetypes. The following are the most effective combinations based on current community testing.

TeamCharactersWhy It Works
Shinku CoreShinku + Iroi + Protagonist + JiuyuanMaximizes Shinku’s burst window with sustained buffs and healing
Nanally BlossomNanally + Iroi + Protagonist + HathorIroi’s healing covers Nanally’s HP-cost mechanics
Chaos SupportChaos + Iroi + Protagonist + JiuyuanIroi’s buffs extend Chaos’s Remora nuke windows
Flexible DPSAny S-rank DPS + Iroi + Protagonist + flexWorks with any main DPS due to universal buff design

Unlike most support characters, Iroi does not require a specific element or faction to be effective. Her buffs apply to the active character regardless of element, making her the most flexible support currently available.

A0 vs A3: Is She Worth Pulling at One Copy?

Iroi is significantly more consistent at A0 than Shinku. Her core support mechanic — sheep summon deployment — functions at full effectiveness from the first copy. The A3 and A4 awakenings increase the number of summons and extend their duration, but the baseline A0 kit already provides meaningful healing and attack buffs.

AwakeningSummon CountBuff DurationRecommended For
A01–2 sheepStandardF2P / Low Spender
A33 sheep (max)ExtendedModerate Spender
A4+3 sheep + passive upgradesMaximumWhale

For free-to-play players, A0 Iroi is a genuine upgrade over most available supports and is worth pulling if you have 90+ Annulith saved.

How Many Annulith Do You Need?

NTE’s pity system guarantees the featured S-rank character within 90 pulls, with no off-banner spooks. Pity carries over from Shinku’s banner to Iroi’s banner.

ScenarioAnnulith NeededNotes
Soft pity start (70+ pulls)~3,200If you have 70+ pity from Shinku’s banner
No pity~14,400Full 90 pulls at 160 Annulith each
Average (50% rate)~7,200Statistical average across the playerbase

Each Solid Dice costs 160 Annulith. The 90-pull hard pity costs 14,400 Annulith. If you have pity carrying over from Shinku’s banner, your cost is significantly lower.

Note: Pity from Shinku’s banner (July 8–29) carries over directly to Iroi’s banner (July 29–August 19). If you pulled 60+ times on Shinku without getting her, you are close to guaranteed Iroi.

Should You Pull Iroi?

Pull if:

  • You want a long-term support that works with multiple DPS characters
  • You are running Shinku and want to maximize her damage window
  • You have 90+ Annulith saved and no immediate DPS gap
  • You value consistent performance over high-ceiling burst DPS

Skip if:

  • You are still missing a main DPS entirely (prioritize Shinku or a standard banner DPS first)
  • You are saving for Version 1.3 characters (Zankou releases August 19, Linko September 9)
  • Your current support roster (Protagonist + Jiuyuan) is already meeting your needs

Upcoming Banners After Iroi

LinkoSeptember 9, 2026Support (expected)Version 1.3 Phase 2; ETD-6 member

If you are planning to pull Zankou or Linko, factor in the Annulith cost before committing to Iroi.
