Overview
Iroi is an S-Rank Anima / Liquid support and healer from C.S.U.2, arriving in NTE Version 1.2 as the second banner character on July 29, 2026. She fights alongside three sheep — Morpheus, Icelos, and Phantasos — and provides the team with healing, revives, and Blossom Cycle enhancement.
Her defining mechanic is the Regression state: when any ally’s HP drops to zero while Iroi is in the team, they automatically enter Regression instead of being downed, replaced by her sheep until Iroi’s Ultimate revives them. This makes her one of the most forgiving supports in the game.

Core Mechanics
Imagination Gauge
Iroi builds Imagination through her basic attacks and skills. The amount of Imagination she has when casting her Ultimate determines which version activates.
Basic Attacks
| Attack | Effect |
|---|---|
| Collaboration (5-hit combo) | Commands her lambs to attack; deals Anima DMG and builds Imagination |
| Charged Attack | Hold Basic Attack to consume Imagination; releases up to 3 attacks based on charge level |
| Critical Riposte | Basic Attack after a successful Critical Dodge; throws Phantasos at the target, deals Anima DMG and reduces Break gauge |
Redirect Skill
| Version | Effect |
|---|---|
| Lamb Assault (Press) | Commands lambs to attack individually; deals Anima DMG and builds Imagination |
| Regression (Hold) | Places up to 3 teammates into the Regression state through a dreamlike illusion |
Regression State
Regression is Iroi’s most important mechanic. While in Regression:
- The affected character is replaced by Morpheus, Icelos, or Phantasos
- Characters in Regression are invincible
- If any ally reaches 0 HP while Iroi is in the team, they automatically enter Regression instead of being downed
Ultimate: Dream of the Gate
Iroi’s Ultimate has two versions depending on her Imagination level:
| Version | Condition | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Dream of the Horned Gate | Low Imagination | Continuously heals all allies; switching to a teammate in Regression revives them with partial HP |
| Dream of the Ivory Gate | High Imagination | Creates an area that continuously damages enemies; same revive mechanic applies |
The healing Ultimate ends when Imagination is depleted, returning revived allies to Regression if not switched to in time.
Support Skill: Dreambound Charge
Switching to Iroi with compatible Esper Attribute teammates activates her Support Skill:
- Charges forward with Morpheus, dealing Anima DMG
- Heals all allies
- Builds Imagination
Blossom Enhancement (Passive)
Iroi grants an additional Blossom Cycle effect: when the first Vita Bud disappears, a duplicate Vita Bud immediately grows in its place. This significantly increases Blossom reaction frequency for teams that rely on it.
Overworld Trait
Iroi can interact with small animals to receive useful items, twice per day (maximum 999 total activations).
Best Arcs
| Priority | Arc | Key Stats | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| BiS (Signature) | The Wrong Gate | HP% / Energy Regen | Iroi’s signature Liquid Arc, designed around her HP-scaling healing and Imagination management. Provides the best combination of sustain and utility. |
| Alternative | HP% / Energy Regen Liquid Arcs | HP% or Energy Regen | Any Liquid Arc that provides Max HP% or Energy Regeneration works as a substitute. Energy Regen is valuable for keeping her Ultimate available for emergency revives. |
Best Modules
Recommended Set: Speedy Hedgehog
| Piece Count | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 2-piece (Epic) | Charge Efficiency +12% |
| 4-piece (Legendary) | After casting Ultimate: all allies gain +15% ATK for 20s (does not stack) |
Speedy Hedgehog is Iroi’s best module set because it improves her energy generation (keeping her Ultimate available for emergency revives) while providing a powerful team-wide ATK buff after each Ultimate cast. The 15% ATK buff applies to the entire team, making it valuable regardless of which DPS you pair her with.
Stat Priority
| Module Slot | Main Stat | Sub-Stat Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Module 1 | HP% | HP% > Energy Regen > Flat HP |
| Module 2 | Healing Bonus | HP% > Energy Regen > Flat HP |
| Module 3 | HP% or Energy Regen | HP% > Energy Regen > Cycle Intensity |
Iroi’s healing scales with Max HP, making HP% the primary stat across all slots. Energy Regeneration is the secondary priority to ensure her Ultimate is available when needed.
Skill Upgrade Priority
Ultimate > Support Skill > Skill > Basic Attack
Ultimate is the highest priority because it directly affects healing output and the revive mechanic. Support Skill is second because Dreambound Charge provides healing and Imagination on switch-in, which is part of her standard rotation.
Best Team Compositions
1.2 Meta Team: Shinku Hypercarry
| Role | Character | Element | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Shinku | Cosmos | Surging Crimson burst carry |
| Healer / Buffer | Iroi | Anima | Regression safety net; Blossom enhancement; team ATK buff via Speedy Hedgehog |
| Sub-DPS | Hathor | Lakshana | Remora (Lakshana + Cosmos) reaction; Charge cycling |
| Sub-DPS | Jiuyuan | Anima | Anima + Cosmos = Blossom; grouping |
Iroi’s Regression state is critical for this team — Shinku’s aggressive Surging Crimson playstyle means she will take damage. Iroi ensures no run ends due to a mistimed dodge, while her Blossom enhancement and Speedy Hedgehog ATK buff amplify Shinku’s burst window.
Blossom Reaction Team
| Role | Character | Element | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Esper Zero | Cosmos | Cosmos carry with fast Instant Cycle |
| Healer / Buffer | Iroi | Anima | Blossom enhancement (Anima + Cosmos); healing |
| Sub-DPS | Hotori | Cosmos | Cosmos reactions; Instant Cycle maintenance |
| Flex | Any Cosmos/Anima | — | Additional reaction coverage |
Iroi’s Blossom Cycle Enhancement passive is particularly strong in dedicated Blossom teams — the duplicate Vita Bud effect nearly doubles Blossom trigger frequency, significantly increasing overall team DPS.
Universal Sustain (Any Carry)
Iroi can replace Hathor in most existing teams as a more defensive healer option. Her Regression mechanic makes her especially valuable in high-difficulty content where survival is a concern. The trade-off is slightly less offensive reaction coverage compared to Hathor.
Gameplay Tips
Save the healing Ultimate for emergencies. The Dream of the Horned Gate (low Imagination) is your emergency button. Don’t spend Imagination unnecessarily before a tough fight — keep enough to activate the healing version when needed.
Use Regression proactively. Don’t wait until an ally is about to die. Use Hold Skill to put fragile characters into Regression before a boss’s big attack, then revive them with your Ultimate after the danger passes.
Blossom teams benefit most from her passive. If your team is built around Blossom reactions, Iroi’s duplicate Vita Bud effect is a significant DPS increase — factor this into team building decisions.
HP is the only stat that matters. Unlike most characters, Iroi has almost no reason to build CRIT stats. Every module slot should prioritize HP% or Energy Regen.
