Hotta Studio has updated Mint’s character model proportions in NTE Version 1.2 “999 Nights” following feedback from players on the Chinese server. Images shared on r/NTELeaks on July 3, 2026 show a comparison of Mint’s appearance before and after the adjustments.
What Changed
According to the leaked comparison images posted to r/NTELeaks, the changes involve adjustments to Mint’s body proportions. The post, titled “Mint Skin changes after complaints,” notes that the modifications came in response to feedback from CN server users.
The specific nature of the changes — as described in the community — involves alterations to body part sizing that were made after player complaints were submitted through official feedback channels.
Community Reaction
The post on r/NTELeaks generated significant discussion within hours of being shared. Reactions from the global community were mixed:
Some players viewed the changes as a positive response to community feedback, noting that Hotta Studio’s willingness to adjust character designs based on player input reflects a developer that listens to its player base.
Others expressed concern that character designs are being altered after initial reveal, particularly for a character that players may have been anticipating based on earlier promotional material.
A third group of commenters noted that design adjustments between CN server testing and global release are not uncommon in gacha games developed for the Chinese market, where regulatory and community standards can differ from global expectations.
Who Is Mint?
Mint is an A-Class character in Neverness to Everness. She appears on the Shinku “Before Dawn” banner in Version 1.2 as a rate-up A-Class character, alongside Edgar and Adler.
In Version 1.2, Mint also receives several new outfits available through the “999 Nights” button shop:
- Free as the Wind
- Forest Hunter (with three exclusive dye variants)
- Ghostly Shadow (with two exclusive dye variants)
Hotta Studio’s Track Record on Design Changes
This is not the first time Hotta Studio has made character design adjustments in response to community feedback. The studio has previously updated character models and outfits in response to player input, particularly on the CN server where the feedback loop between players and developers tends to be faster.
Whether these changes will be reflected in the global version of NTE at the same time as the CN server, or whether global players will see the original design first, has not been officially confirmed.
What This Means for Global Players
For global players, the Version 1.2 update launched on July 8, 2026 (after maintenance on July 8 from 06:00–11:00 UTC+8). The version that global players receive will include all changes made up to the point of the global build, which may or may not include the Mint model adjustments depending on when the changes were finalized.
If you’re planning to pull for Mint on Shinku’s banner, her gameplay kit and role in the team remain unchanged — only her visual appearance has been adjusted.
