🔴 LAUNCHES AUGUST 19, 2026 — NTE Version 1.3 “Rising from the Moonlit Fog” arrives on August 19, 2026. This guide covers all confirmed content from the August 8 Preview Special Program.
NTE Version 1.3 “Rising from the Moonlit Fog” is the largest content update since launch, introducing two new playable characters, an entirely new city district, a wave of summer activities, new vehicles, and a new housing option. Here is everything confirmed for the update.
New Characters
Zankou — Incantation Main DPS (Phase 1: Aug 19 – Sep 9)
Zankou is the leader of the Scarlet Letter organization and Daffodil’s “sister.” Her playable version has a different appearance from her story boss form, but her original Scarlet Letter look unlocks as a free outfit when you obtain her character.

Combat Kit — Dual Reality/Illusion System:
Zankou’s Esper Ability, the Eye of Delusion, allows her to manipulate reality. In combat, she operates across two distinct states:
- Reality Mode: Standard Incantation attacks, building the Overmark gauge
- Illusion Mode: Unleashes the Eye of Delusion’s full power, triggering the Overmark reaction when paired with an Anima teammate — boosting team damage for 12 seconds
Her ultimate skill releases an Unbounded Crimson Slash — a wide-area Incantation attack that shatters enemy defenses.
Open World Ability: Zankou can turn invisible in the open world, preventing enemies from detecting her. This is particularly useful during heist missions.
Story Note: At the end of Version 1.3, Zankou will not be physically present with the Appraiser. The Zankou players interact with in social content is a phantom she sends to observe them. Hangout content is not available in 1.3.
Linko — Anima Universal Support (Phase 2: Sep 9 – Sep 30)
Linko is the pink-haired member of ETD-6 encountered before the dragon fight. She is paired with an anomaly partner named Xiaozhen, who appears as a CRT television.

Combat Kit — Sync Strike System:
Linko’s Telepathy allows her to sync frequencies with teammates. Xiaozhen persists off-field, continuously applying Anima to trigger Overmark reactions for Zankou.
- Sync Strike: Linko and Xiaozhen perform coordinated follow-up attacks. Damage counts as follow-up attack damage with the attribute of whoever launches it.
- Ultimate: Syncs with all three teammates simultaneously, calling in individual sync strikes from each — providing team-wide damage buffs and shields.
Open World Ability: Full sync with Xiaozhen allows Linko to fly around the city.
New District: Duskmoor
Version 1.3 introduces Duskmoor, a new district designed around racing and open spaces. Key features:
- Wide roads and open areas optimized for vehicle racing
- Collection items designed to be grabbed from vehicles without stopping
- Beach area hosting all summer seasonal events
- Home to the new Shipwreck Salvage event
New Activities & Events
Beach Volleyball (Permanent Weekly Activity)
A 2v2 PvE beach volleyball activity where players control one character and an AI controls their partner. Completing weekly volleyball matches earns additional Fons.
Shipwreck Salvage (Limited Event)
Players ride jet skis to harpoon free-floating loot from the ocean near Duskmoor’s beach. This event introduces jet skis as a playable vehicle.
Building Hethereau (New Hobby)
A new construction hobby where players assist with building projects around the city.
Warren Tower Mode (New Permanent Content)
A new tower challenge mode added to the Warren continent for players who have completed the 999 Nights event.

New Housing: Independent House
Players can now own an independent house in addition to the existing apartment system. The house includes a gardening feature, allowing players to grow plants and crops.

Pity Carry-Over: Rolls accumulated on any limited banner carry over to the next time that character’s banner is available. Note that perk unlocks (A1–A6) require rolling on the specific character’s banner.
Summer Outfits
Version 1.3 introduces summer outfits for multiple characters, tied to the Duskmoor beach events. The Searing Lavender outfit was shown in the 1.3 Preview Program.
Free Outfits During 1.3:
- Players can claim 1 free outfit per day during Version 1.3 for a total of 3 free outfits: [The Perfectionist], [Jade Dreams], and [Dream in Glimpses].
Story Summary
Version 1.3 concludes the Scarlet Letter arc that began in Version 1.1. Players must complete the Version 1.2 story (including the 999 Nights content) before accessing 1.3 story missions.
The story takes players to Fogden, where the Scarlet Letter has set up a game that must be won to rescue Nanally and the other Dreamers. Zankou’s transition from antagonist to playable character is the central narrative moment of the update.
What’s Coming Later
The Pukaland theme park — visible in Hethereau since launch — will not open in Version 1.3 but is confirmed for the next update (Version 1.4).
