A surprise 2.7GB hotfix rolled out on July 11, 2026 for Neverness to Everness across all platforms. While the patch notes were sparse on the official launcher (PS5 players only saw “fixed something”), the in-game Notice board and community reports have confirmed the full list of changes.
Full Patch Notes — July 11 Hotfix
Character Fixes
Shinku — Awakened Resolve Bug Fix (Critical)
The most impactful fix in this patch addresses a damage calculation error affecting Shinku’s A6 (6th Awakening). The Awakened Resolve resonance effect, which grants an additional +30% DMG during Surging Crimson, was not correctly applying to two of Shinku’s key abilities:
- Lone Stride — the damage bonus was not being applied
- Instant Strike — the damage bonus was not being applied
This means players who had unlocked Shinku’s A6 were dealing less damage than intended since launch. The fix is now live, and Shinku’s DPS output should noticeably increase in Surging Crimson windows.
Shinku — Dragonhunter Outfit Visual Fix
The Dragonhunter outfit (Shinku’s launch outfit) had a visual rendering issue that has now been corrected.
Economy Fixes — Beetle Coin Refund
A pricing error was discovered in the skill upgrade costs for two characters:
| Character | Issue | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Aurelia | Beetle Coin cost was set incorrectly | Automatic refund on next login |
| Chaos | Beetle Coin cost was set incorrectly | Automatic refund on next login |
If you upgraded Aurelia or Chaos skills before this patch, check your Beetle Coin balance after logging in — you should receive a refund automatically.
999 Nights Mode Fixes
Several unspecified bugs in the 999 Nights game mode have been addressed. Community reports suggest these include fixes to enemy behavior in the Crimson Castle area and chest interaction issues.
New Content — Apartment Furniture
A new office chair has been added to the furniture store near Skytower. Shinku can now spin on this chair in your apartment. This is a small quality-of-life addition that the community has been enthusiastic about.
How to Apply the Patch
The hotfix downloads automatically when you launch the game. If you are on Steam or PC, you may need to restart the launcher to trigger the update. The patch is approximately 2.7GB in size.
What This Means for Shinku Owners
If you have Shinku at A6, this patch is a meaningful damage increase at no cost. The Awakened Resolve bonus now correctly applies to Lone Stride and Instant Strike, which are core parts of her Surging Crimson rotation. Players who were using Shinku before this fix were effectively playing at reduced efficiency.
For players still deciding whether to pull Shinku, this fix makes her A6 breakpoint more valuable than it appeared at launch.
