Note: The following information is based on leaks and pre-release data. Details are subject to change after the official June 27 livestream.
Version 1.2 of Neverness to Everness is approaching, and the spotlight is on Shinku, a highly anticipated S-Rank character from the Containment Strike Unit Division 2 (C.S.U. 2). Positioned as an aggressive frontline DPS, Shinku brings a dynamic playstyle centered around the Cosmos element and a unique Fury/Frenzy system.
This guide breaks down her leaked abilities, combat mechanics, and potential synergies to help you decide if she fits your roster.
🐉 Shinku Core Mechanics: Fury and Frenzy
Shinku’s gameplay revolves around a two-state system: building resources in her base form and unleashing massive burst damage in her enhanced state.
- Fury Accumulation: Shinku generates “Fury” through her normal attacks and elemental skills. Her basic attack sequence consists of up to 5 consecutive strikes, dealing Light/Cosmos attribute damage.
- Frenzy State: Once her Fury gauge is full, she can enter the “Frenzy” state. In this mode, her attack speed, damage multipliers, and area of effect (AoE) are significantly amplified.
- Breath of Ruin: Her ultimate finisher, executed during the Frenzy state, delivers a devastating burst of Cosmos damage, making her exceptionally strong against high-HP bosses and elite anomalies.
⚔️ Team Synergy and Role
Shinku is designed to be an on-field carry (Main DPS). Her kit encourages players to keep her active during her Frenzy window to maximize damage output.
Energy Acceleration Passive
Beyond raw damage, Shinku offers valuable team utility. Her passive abilities include an energy acceleration mechanic that helps the entire team charge their Ultimates faster. This makes her not just a selfish DPS, but a core engine for quick-swap burst rotations.
Best Team Compositions
Based on her Cosmos element and C.S.U. 2 faction, Shinku synergizes well with specific supports:
| Teammate | Role | Synergy |
|---|---|---|
| Iroi | Healer / Buffer | Iroi’s Anima element triggers the “Blossom” reaction with Shinku’s Cosmos attacks. Iroi also provides HP-scaling heals and crucial Attack/Crit buffs. |
| Mint | Sub-DPS | Shares the C.S.U. 2 faction. Mint can provide off-field damage and energy generation while Shinku builds her Fury. |
| Hathor | Reaction Enabler | Excellent for triggering charged reactions and maximizing Shinku’s AoE potential during her Frenzy state. |
💎 Should You Save for Shinku?
If your account lacks a strong, dedicated Main DPS—especially one that excels in burst windows—Shinku is a prime target for Version 1.2. Her ability to accelerate team energy while dealing top-tier damage gives her strong long-term value.
However, if you have already heavily invested in Lacrimosa or Chaos from Version 1.1, you may need to evaluate your Annulith reserves. Shinku demands field time, so she competes directly with other Main DPS units for the spotlight.
Stay tuned for the official confirmation of Shinku’s abilities during the NTE 1.2 “999 Nights” Preview Special Program on June 27.
