Overview
Shinku is an S-Rank Cosmos / Condensate main DPS arriving in NTE Version 1.2 on July 8, 2026. She is a martial artist from C.S.U.2 who fights in two distinct forms, building Defiant Spirit in her normal state and unleashing it as Surging Crimson — a rampage form with enhanced attacks and a devastating finisher.
Her passive also benefits the entire team: whenever the Charge reaction generates Ultimate energy for the active character, off-field characters receive the same energy. This makes her a strong driver for quick-swap teams built around Charge cycling.

Core Mechanics
Defiant Spirit (Normal State)
In her normal form, Shinku’s goal is to fill the Defiant Spirit Gauge as quickly as possible.
- Basic Attack (5-hit combo): Each hit generates Defiant Spirit
- High-Speed Breach (Branch Attack): Holding Basic Attack during specific hits in the combo triggers a branch attack with bonus Defiant Spirit generation
- Skill: A multi-hit maneuver that generates additional Defiant Spirit
Surging Crimson (Rampage Form)
When the Defiant Spirit Gauge is full, casting her Ultimate — Crimson Fury — consumes the entire gauge to enter Surging Crimson.
- All normal attacks and skills are replaced with enhanced Surging Crimson versions
- She builds a secondary gauge called Fading Reason during this form
- Consuming all Fading Reason with her enhanced Skill unleashes a massive nuke
- Near the end of Surging Crimson, her Ultimate becomes available again for a powerful finisher
Overworld Trait
Shinku can activate Surging Crimson in the open world, granting a significant movement speed boost for faster exploration and climbing.
Charge Enhancement (Passive)
Shinku’s passive modifies the Charge reaction: whenever Charge generates Ultimate energy for the on-field character, all off-field characters also gain the same amount of energy. This passive is the foundation of her best team compositions.
Best Arcs
| Priority | Arc | Key Stats | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| BiS (Signature) | Blushing Mirage | ATK +570, CRIT Rate +24% | After casting Ultimate: +30% Cosmos DMG and ignore 12% enemy DEF for 20s. Duration refreshes on re-trigger. Stacks with Lost Radiance 4-piece DEF ignore. |
| Strong Alternative | What’s Desired | ATK +570, CRIT Rate +24% | CRIT DMG +40% for 20s on Redirect Skill or Ultimate. The Lakshana DMG bonus is wasted on Shinku, but the CRIT DMG buff aligns perfectly with her burst windows. |
| Budget Option | Fluff of Ferocity | ATK +512, ATK% +27.5% | CRIT DMG stacks (up to 10×) from landing critical hits. Shinku’s multi-hit pattern keeps stacks near maximum. Lacks Cosmos DMG support but reliable raw scaling. |
Note: The signature Arc’s DEF ignore stacks multiplicatively with Lost Radiance’s 4-piece DEF ignore, making the combination particularly strong against high-DEF enemies.
Best Modules
Recommended Set: Lost Radiance
| Piece Count | Bonus |
|---|---|
| 2-piece | Cosmos DMG +10% |
| 4-piece | After casting Ultimate: ignore 25% of enemies’ DEF for 20s (does not stack) |
Lost Radiance is Shinku’s best module set because both bonuses activate during her primary damage window — immediately after casting Crimson Fury to enter Surging Crimson. The 4-piece DEF ignore stacks with her signature Arc’s 12% DEF ignore, significantly amplifying burst damage against high-DEF targets.
Stat Priority
| Module Slot | Main Stat | Sub-Stat Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Module 1 | ATK% | CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > Cosmos DMG% |
| Module 2 | Cosmos DMG% | CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > ATK% |
| Module 3 | CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG | CRIT DMG / CRIT Rate > ATK% > Universal DMG Bonus |
Aim for a 1:2 ratio of CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG (e.g., 70% Rate : 140% DMG). Adjust Module 3 based on your Arc’s base CRIT Rate.
Skill Upgrade Priority
Basic Attack > Ultimate > Skill > Support Skill
Basic Attack is the highest priority because it directly affects Defiant Spirit generation speed and the damage of her Surging Crimson enhanced attacks. Ultimate is second because Crimson Fury’s multipliers scale with upgrade level.
Best Team Compositions
Charge Cycling Team (Recommended)
| Role | Character | Element | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Shinku | Cosmos | Defiant Spirit → Surging Crimson burst carry |
| Sub-DPS / Reaction | Hathor | Lakshana | Creates Remora (Lakshana + Cosmos) reaction; contributes to Charge cycling |
| Healer / Buffer | Iroi | Anima | Healing via Regression; Anima + Cosmos triggers Blossom; Blossom + Lakshana enables Charge |
| Sub-DPS / Grouping | Jiuyuan | Anima | Grouping, Anima damage, flexible sub-DPS uptime |
This is the intended core for Version 1.2. The Remora (Lakshana + Cosmos) → Blossom (Anima + Cosmos) → Charge chain keeps Ultimate energy cycling for the whole team via Shinku’s passive, allowing frequent re-entry into Surging Crimson.
Alternative: Safer Variant
| Role | Character | Element | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Shinku | Cosmos | Burst carry |
| Sub-DPS | Hathor | Lakshana | Remora reaction + burst damage |
| Sub-DPS / Healer | Edgar | Cosmos | Second Cosmos source + healing; safer than Iroi variants |
| Sub-DPS | Jiuyuan | Anima | Anima + Cosmos = Blossom; Blossom + Lakshana = Charge |
Edgar replaces Iroi here, adding a second Cosmos source for more consistent Remora triggers while providing healing. Slightly less burst ceiling than the Iroi variant but more forgiving.
Quick-Swap Energy Team
| Role | Character | Element | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Shinku | Cosmos | Burst carry |
| Sub-DPS | Hathor | Lakshana | Remora + burst |
| Sub-DPS | Jiuyuan | Anima | Blossom + Charge setup |
| Buffer | Zero | — | Esper Meter refill; accelerates Remora → Blossom → Charge cycle |
Zero’s Esper Meter refill ability lets the team trigger the Remora → Blossom → Charge chain more frequently, which feeds more Ultimate energy to Shinku via her Charge Enhancement passive.
Rotation & Gameplay Tips
Standard rotation:
- Open with supports — deploy Iroi’s sheep (or Edgar’s healing), activate Hathor’s Lakshana skills
- Switch to Shinku and build Defiant Spirit with Basic Attack combos and High-Speed Breach branch attacks
- Before the gauge fills, swap to Jiuyuan for grouping and Anima application
- Return to Shinku, cast Crimson Fury to enter Surging Crimson
- Use enhanced attacks to build Fading Reason; consume it with the enhanced Skill for the nuke
- Near the end of Surging Crimson, cast Ultimate again for the finisher
- Swap to Mint or Hathor to cover field time while cooldowns reset
Key tips:
- Time your buff activations. Iroi’s Regression buff and Hathor’s damage windows should be active when Shinku enters Surging Crimson, not before.
- Don’t waste Charge energy. Shinku’s passive only works if Charge is actually triggering. Ensure your team has the Remora → Blossom → Charge chain set up before her burst window.
- DEF ignore stacks. If running the signature Arc + Lost Radiance 4-piece, both DEF ignore effects are active simultaneously after casting Crimson Fury — this is your highest-damage window.
