Overview

Version 1.2 introduced several quality of life improvements alongside the main content additions. These changes address long-standing community requests and streamline common gameplay loops. This page collects all confirmed QoL changes from the 1.2 update.

Boss Reward Claiming Now Heals You

Change: Claiming a boss reward after defeating a boss now restores your health.

Why it matters: Previously, players who took damage during a boss fight would need to use healing items or wait for passive regeneration after collecting the reward. The new behavior means you exit the boss encounter at full health, reducing the friction of back-to-back farming sessions.

This change was noted positively by the community as a straightforward improvement to the boss farming loop.

Owners Selection UI Remembers Last Completed Stage

Change: The Owners Selection menu now defaults to your last completed stage instead of resetting to Stage 1-1 each time.

Why it matters: Owners Selection is one of the primary weekly Fons farming methods in NTE. Previously, players had to scroll back to their current stage every time they opened the menu to spend City Stamina. With this fix, the menu opens directly at the stage you last cleared, eliminating the need to scroll up repeatedly during a farming session.

Community reaction was strongly positive — this was described as making Owners Selection “way more comfy” and removing the most annoying part of the weekly farming routine.

Chaos Mask Moved to Outfit Customization

Change: Chaos’s mask has been moved from a fixed part of her appearance to the Outfit Customization system, allowing players to toggle it on or off independently.

Why it matters: Chaos’s mask is a distinctive part of her character design, but some players preferred to see her face during cutscenes and gameplay. Moving it to outfit customization gives players control over this without affecting her combat performance.

This change applies to Chaos’s default appearance. Custom outfits retain their original designs.

New Avatar Adjustments

Change: The avatar customization system received new adjustment options in Version 1.2.

Details on the specific new options are available in the in-game Avatar menu. The update expanded the range of adjustable parameters for player avatars.
