NTE 1.2 Patch Notes Summary: 999 Nights Update

The Neverness to Everness Version 1.2 “999 Nights” Special Program has revealed everything coming in the next major update, scheduled to launch on July 8, 2026. This is the first 6-week patch cycle for NTE, bringing two new S-Rank characters, a permanent RPG-style game mode, 19 new outfits, a new vehicle, and a substantial list of Quality of Life improvements.

1. New Characters and Banners

Version 1.2 introduces two new S-Rank characters, both members of the Containment Strike Unit Division 2 (C.S.U.2).

Phase 1 Banner: Shinku

• Attribute: Cosmos
• Role: DPS (Burst)
• Compatible Arc: Condensate
• Signature Arc: Blushing Mirage
• Banner Duration: July 8 (after update) — July 29, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8)

Kit Summary: Shinku has two distinct combat modes. In her normal form, she builds a Divine Spirit gauge through regular attacks. Once the gauge is full, she enters her Surging Crimson (Rampage) form, where her entire kit changes and she gains access to a more powerful Ultimate. If she stops attacking for a period, she automatically returns to normal form.

Overworld Trait: Shinku can run and climb faster than most characters.

Charge Enhancement: Whenever any team member gains energy from a Charge action, off-field characters also receive energy — effectively boosting team-wide energy generation.

Phase 2 Banner: Iroi

• Attribute: Anima
• Role: Healer and Buffer
• Compatible Arc: Liquid
• Signature Arc: The Wrong Gate
• Banner Duration: July 29, 2026 — August 19, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8)

Kit Summary: Iroi fights alongside three sheep: Morpheus, Icelos, and Phantasos. She builds Imagination stacks through basic attacks and spends them with her Hold Basic attack. Her Hold Skill places teammates into a Regression state, making them temporarily invincible while her three lambs (who inherit part of Iroi’s offensive stats) fight in their place. Critically, if any character in Iroi’s team drops to 0 HP, they automatically enter Regression instead of being defeated. Her Ultimate can function as either a powerful heal or a damaging ability depending on her current Imagination count.

Overworld Trait: Iroi can interact with small animals twice per day to receive useful items.

Blossom Enhancement: When a Vita Bud disappears, a new one immediately grows in its place.

2. New Story: “999 Nights” Mode

Main Story Continuation

The 1.2 main story picks up directly after the events of 1.1. Players will learn more about the Dreamwalkers, discover what Eibon is planning through Hotori, and witness the lead-up to the final showdown with the Scarlet Letter — which will be resolved in Version 1.3. Nanally also returns in this version.

999 Nights — Permanent RPG Mode

The flagship content of 1.2 is a permanent, replayable RPG-style board game mode. The story begins when the Appraiser, Mint, Shinku, and Iroi are playing a board game together — and get isekai’d into its world.

The team explores the Warren Continent, a land populated by Fuzzies but overrun by dragons. The objective is to slay the Crimson Dragon, the main boss of the mode.

Key features of the 999 Nights mode:

Each character also has their own class within the mode, and the Appraiser’s Appraisal skill helps identify new gear drops.

3. New Outfits (19 Total)

999 Nights Outfits (12 outfits — 3 per character)

• Zero: 3 outfits
• Mint: 3 outfits
• Iroi: 3 outfits
• Shinku: 3 outfits (her Dragon Knight outfit includes special visual effects; all outfits support color dye customization)

Additional Outfits

• Shinku: 3 additional outfits + 1 Banner outfit (Student of Terrasea, Dawn Patrol, and one more)
• Iroi: 2 additional outfits + 1 Banner outfit (Starlight Night, Summer Dream)

New Feature: Outfit dye customization is now available — players can change the color and texture of their outfits.

4. New Vehicle: The Draco

The Draco is a new Regalia-class motorcycle seemingly designed for Shinku. It features a unique trail effect, spinning wheels during sharp drifts, and the ability to jump. It has a special visual synergy with Shinku’s Dragon Knight outfit.

5. New Events

Login Event: Log in for 7 days to receive 10 free Solid Dice (red dice).

Summer Special Gift Pack: Players who unlock the mail feature before the end of Version 1.2 will receive a free S-Rank Standard Character Selection Box.

6. Quality of Life Improvements

Hethereau Hobbies

• Aquarium: Purchase a fish tank (available in multiple sizes, freshwater and saltwater) to keep your caught fish at home. Manage pH levels, species compatibility, and feeding schedules. An auto-feeder and temperature control option is available for convenience.
• Fish Display: Rare fish can now be showcased by equipping them behind your vehicle.
• Riichi Mahjong added to the Little Sparrow game hall.

Housing

• Decor Blueprint System: Save your house layout as a blueprint and share it with other players. Note: recipients must own the furniture themselves to apply a downloaded blueprint.

General Improvements

• Avatars refined for better display quality
• Improved portable music player
• Long press to use upgrade materials in bulk
• Racing minigame now has a player reporting feature
• Option to hide specific parts of outfits
• Improved Fight Club result scoring system
• Reduced Anomaly Hunt boss difficulty
• Linko and Elyms receive design improvements (Elyms receives what is essentially a complete visual redesign)

7. Platform Expansion

NTE will become available on additional platforms during or after Version 1.2:

NTE will also be present at Anime Expo and has an ongoing collaboration with Beard Papa’s.

8. Version 1.3 Preview

The next version will feature:

• The main story’s Scarlet Letter showdown conclusion
• More swimsuit outfits for additional characters
• More vehicles
• A new standalone house property with a homier aesthetic
