With the “Dreamwalk Corridor” update well underway, the Neverness to Everness community is already looking ahead to the next massive content drop. Hotta Studio has officially announced that the Version 1.2 Preview Special Program will air on June 27, 2026.

Based on recent drip marketing and reliable leaks, Version 1.2, titled “999 Nights”, is shaping up to be a game-changing update. Here is everything we know so far.

NTE 1.2 Release Date

Following the standard 42-day patch cycle, Neverness to Everness Version 1.2 is expected to launch on July 2, 2026.

The update will be split into two banner phases, each lasting 21 days.

New Characters: The C.S.U.2 Duo

Version 1.2 will introduce two highly anticipated S-Rank characters from the Containment Strike Unit Division 2 (C.S.U.2) — the same faction as the beloved A-Rank character, Mint.

Phase 1: Shinku (Cosmos DPS)

Expected Banner Date: July 2 - July 23

Shinku is an aggressive, frontline melee fighter who utilizes a unique Fury and Frenzy dual-state system.

  • Role: Main DPS
  • Element: Cosmos
  • Playstyle: She builds “Fury” points through her Normal State attacks. Once full, her Ultimate consumes the Fury to enter a “Frenzy” state, massively enhancing her damage output. She finishes her burst window with “Breath of Ruin,” a devastating dragon-like AoE attack.
  • Team Utility: Her passive, “Charge Enhancement,” grants off-field characters energy whenever the on-field character gains energy, making her an incredible driver for quick-swap teams.

Phase 2: Iroi (Anima Support)

Expected Banner Date: July 23 - August 13

Iroi perfectly complements Shinku as a ranged healer and offensive buffer, utilizing adorable sheep summons to control the battlefield.

  • Role: Support / Healer
  • Element: Anima
  • Playstyle: Iroi can deploy up to 3 independent sheep summons. These sheep provide continuous healing that scales off Iroi’s Max HP, while simultaneously projecting an aura that buffs ally ATK and CRIT DMG.
  • Team Synergy: She is tailor-made to keep aggressive fighters like Shinku alive during high-risk burst windows while amplifying their damage.

New Content & Map Expansion

While character banners dominate the hype, Version 1.2 is also expected to bring significant content additions.

  • New Map Area: Leaks suggest an expansion to the playable world, possibly opening up new districts or introducing a major instanced area related to the “999 Nights” theme.
  • Carnival Event: A major flagship event is rumored to accompany the patch, likely offering generous rewards, including Annulith and exclusive cosmetics.
  • Main Story Continuation: The narrative will push forward, likely delving deeper into the operations of C.S.U. Division 2 and their fight against high-level Anomalies.

Should You Save for 1.2?

If you are currently deciding whether to pull on the Version 1.1 banners (Lacrimosa or Chaos) or save for 1.2, consider your roster:

  1. If you need a complete, synergistic team: Save for 1.2. Shinku, Iroi, and Mint form a perfect, self-contained team core (Cosmos + Anima Blossom reactions) that covers DPS, healing, and sub-DPS roles.
  2. If you lack any strong DPS: Pulling Lacrimosa now is a valid choice to help you clear current endgame content.
  3. F2P Players: It is highly recommended to save. The synergy between Shinku and Iroi offers better long-term value than pulling scattered units across different patches.
